Ingredients
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 Can chickpeas, very well-drained
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon curry powder (or more to taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
3 1/4 Tablespoons flour and a bit more for making the patties (can be gluten-free)
Olive oil
Method
1. Heat olive oil in a large frypan over medium heat.
2. Add onion and cook for about 4 minutes, until translucent.
3 Remove from heat and allow onion to cool.
4. Put onion into food processor, along with drained chickpeas, garlic and curry powder, salt and pepper. Or, mash with a fork or potato masher and leave chickpeas a bit chunky.

4. Pulse for 2 minutes or until you make a thick batter.
5. Add flour and pulse for 1 more minute. (add a bit more flour if the batter seems too sticky)
6. Divide the batter in 4 balls and place on a floured surface (can use a dinner plate). Shape the patties.
7. Reusing the same frypan, add a small amount of olive oil and cook chickpea patties over medium heat, for 3 minutes per side.
Serve with natural yogurt or tomato salsa.
